A thief and a knight...

...like a thief in the night.

This is the core of an idea that a short fanfic sprung up around. What is it with me and stories about jailbreaks? Anyways, it's obviously a Xel/Lina thing, titled Knight Takes Queen.

Lineart for this is here. Coloring was done in Painter with watercolors. Since it's the old Painter Classic, there are no layers. This was done with all the watercolors "wet" during the entire time. This way, colors were able to mix and blend with each other at any time. It gives a better effect to have many hues mixed into many other hues. Colors should be affected by the other colors around them. But this is something that is difficult to do with every piece.

Was going for a fresco effect, in a way, or paint on a textured stone that gives through to show the tones and color of the stone. Anyways. I like to paint.
